The One We Cannot Describe
There are things you can explain.
And there are things you can only experience.
A sunrise.
Love.
The feeling of being deeply understood.
The mystery of existence.
And perhaps, most of all, the Divine.
We search for words.
We give names.
We build ideas around what we cannot fully see.
But sometimes, the more we try to describe the Divine, the more we realize how limited our words really are.
Beyond Our Words
We want to understand.
We want definitions.
We want certainty.
But what if the One who stands beyond everything we know cannot be completely contained within human language?
Maybe our words are not meant to capture the Divine.
Maybe they are simply meant to point toward something greater.
And perhaps there is something beautiful about reaching the edge of what the mind can explain.
Because at that edge, something else begins.
Wonder.
When You Don't Have the Answer
You may have questions about God that you cannot answer.
You may have moments when your beliefs feel clear, and others when you are searching again.
You may pray without knowing what comes next.
You may look at the world and wonder why things happen the way they do.
You don't have to turn every mystery into certainty.
Sometimes you can simply remain present with the question.
"I don't fully understand."
And still continue searching.
Reflection Questions
What do I believe about the Divine, and what remains a mystery to me?
Can I accept that my understanding may always be incomplete?
Do I approach the Divine with certainty, humility, or both?
What happens within me when I allow myself to simply wonder?
Practice
Today, find a quiet moment.
Don't search for an answer.
Don't try to explain anything.
Simply sit in silence for a few minutes and contemplate this:
"There is something greater than what I can understand."
Notice what that thought awakens within you.
Maybe it is peace.
Maybe curiosity.
Maybe humility.
Maybe simply silence.
Let the silence be enough.
Closing Thought
Perhaps the Divine does not become more meaningful when we find the perfect words.
Perhaps we discover something deeper when we realize that words will never be enough.
Some mysteries are not meant to be conquered.
They are meant to be approached with wonder.
