Every Path Begins With One Step
Sometimes we don't begin because the road ahead feels too long.
We look at everything that needs to change...
and feel overwhelmed before we even move.
We want to know where the path will lead.
We want certainty.
We want to know that our effort will be worth it.
But life rarely gives us that promise.
Sometimes, all we are given is the next step.
One decision.
One conversation.
One attempt.
One small act of courage.
And perhaps that's enough.
You don't have to understand the entire journey before beginning it.
You only need enough courage to take the next step.
The first step may feel insignificant.
But it changes something.
You are no longer standing where you were.
You have begun.
Reflection Questions
What have you been postponing because the whole journey feels overwhelming?
What would the smallest possible first step look like?
Are you waiting for certainty when what you really need is courage?
Practice
Think of something you've been wanting to change.
Don't think about the entire journey.
Don't think about everything that could go wrong.
Ask yourself:
“What is one thing I can do today?”
Then do only that.
Let tomorrow bring tomorrow's step.
